With its majestic mountains, glittering lakes, and quaint villages, this location is picture-perfect, and we don't mean it seems like something out of a fairytale. 1. Jungfraujoch

Very much an Alpine wonderland unto itself, it tops our list (no pun intended). The highest railway station in the world is found at Jungfraujoch, also referred to as the Top of Europe. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site sandwiched between the mountains Jungfrau and Monch. The picturesque train ride up is something you shouldn't pass up! There are lots of attractions at the summit, like the stunning Ice Palace, hiking across the glacier, and dining at restaurants perched above the ground with breathtaking views!

2. Lucerne

Would be the obvious choice if we could only see one town. This stunning city is the perfect example of a charming Swiss town, with the glistening blue Lake Lucerne taking center stage and towering mountains and ancient architecture on each side. There is so much to see and do in this old town that one day just isn't enough, from historic churches and coastal promenades to well-known landmarks like the Chapel Bridge and Lion Monument.

We definitely recommend taking a day trip up if you have the time. At about 7,000 feet, this location offers breathtaking views of Lucerne and the surrounding alpine scenery! 

3. Lauterbrunnen

The Lauterbrunnen Valley is undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking locations in Switzerland—literally, the Swiss town of our dreams. The charming village, which is nestled in a breathtaking valley amid the Swiss Alps, is encircled by rugged cliffs and 72 exquisite waterfalls, including the well-known Staubbach Falls and Trümmelbach Falls. There are lots of activities to do here all year round, such as hiking, skiing, waterfall chasing, and even paragliding over the alpine meadows!

4. Interlaken

The traditional resort town is located between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, as its name suggests. With the massive Alps encircling it and the pristine blue waters of the lakes reflecting the light, it seems something out of a postcard. Not only is this charming village a veritable outdoor lover's heaven. This playground in Switzerland offers an enormous choice of adventure activities in addition to breathtaking alpine landscapes. Imagine admiring the Alps while flying through the air! 

5. The Matterhorn

 and its iconic pointed peak earned its status for being one of the highest Alpine mountains, but also for being the most photographed one (fun fact: it's the mountain peak on Toblerone chocolates!). We personally love trekking up in the springtime, when the weather is just perfect and you’ll see the meadows in full bloom on your way up.

6. Lake Geneva

One of the biggest lakes in Europe, this Alpine oasis features serene waters and a picturesque view of the Swiss Alps. Enjoy this breathtaking picture from the eastern lakefront town of Montreux and the western lakeside town of Geneva.

The renowned Jet d'Eau fountain in Geneva sprays water at a height of 140 meters from the center of the lake, while Chateau de Chillon, a magnificent medieval castle, stands tall along the rocky coast close to Montreux.
